Preventing Childhood Obesity
Childhood obesity is escalating. The numbers are increasing rapidly. Parents need to take an active part in the prevention of childhood obesity before it is too late. Prevention is the key to keeping your child/children from being faced with other serious illnesses.
Children who consume more food than the energy they exert, the extra food ends up being stored as fat in their little bodies. This creates obesity if not put into perspective early enough.
According to research, many children are obese because their parents are obese. Parents must realize that their children emulate what they see and what they hear. Therefore, parents must exude a healthy physical lifestyle.
Experts on child obesity recommend that children be encouraged to maintain their weight rather than to lose weight. This makes it a little bit easier for children. They are in their growing years and if they maintain their current weight, they will grow into that weight.
